Lori Moran was singing before she could talk. Growing up in the South,
her fondest memories go back to age 2, standing in her grandmother’s kitchen in rural Alabama, listening to her
family singing original tunes in 4-part harmony. Nearly everyone in her immediate and extended family sings and
plays instruments, so family gatherings have always been authentic down-home jam sessions.
Formal
training in piano and a music degree from Florida State University equipped Lori well as she began her career in regional
opera (Orlando Opera Company), as a featured soloist with the Florida Symphony Orchestra and the Tampa Bay Oratorio.
She joined Disney in the mid-90's, appearing on many Disney recordings and performing with the world renowned Voices of Liberty at EPCOT Center. While at Disney, Lori also served as a regular clinician for the Disney Sings! educational program for aspiring young
performers.
A member of Actors' Equity & SAG, Lori's regional musical theater credits include
the roles of Christine in Phantom of the Opera, Adelaide and Sarah Brown
in Guys & Dolls, Kim MacAfee in Bye,
Bye, Birdie, Laurie in Oklahoma, Fantine in Les Miserables, Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Fanny
Bryce in Funny Girl, Sally Bowles in Cabaret,
and Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly.

Since celebrating the 2006 release of her debut CD, “On My Way To You,” with
a sold-out performance at Hollywood's Catalina Jazz Club, Lori continues to garner critical acclaim from notable jazz and cabaret reviewers.
This fall, she will join the cast of All I Really Need to Know, I Learned in Kindergarten
- a musical revue based on the best-selling books by Robert Fulghum, presented at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks. And in November & December, she will perform in a series of
holiday concerts in the UK, to be televised throughout Europe on ITV.
In addition to performing, Lori spends much
of her time working with up-and-coming artists. Less than a decade ago, Lori opened her own music studio in
Los Angeles, Lori Moran Music Studio, which has blossomed into a multi-faceted school for voice, piano, guitar and strings,
with a faculty of ten highly specialized music instructors. Listed in the National Who's Who Among America's Teachers for her excellence in teaching, Lori Moran is a professional musician and accredited
teacher with a long waiting list of private students.
Lori and her husband live just south of Los Angeles with their three dogs. Aside from music,
Lori's other passion is caring for her own pups, and seeking to ensure the humane treatment of all animals.
She takes an active role in advocating tougher animal protection laws, and is a strong supporter of the ASPCA
and the Humane Society of the US.
